4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz is in the lineup Wednesday for his Grapefruit League debut against the Red Sox. Manager Rocco Baldelli said that the team would ease their 40-year-old slugger into the action, much the same way they would with third baseman Josh Donaldson. Cruz has hit above .300 in each of the last two seasons, clubbing 57 homers in his last 173 games while ranking 12th in on-base percentage last season. Cruz has aged better than nearly any other late-30s/early-40s slugger, so even a slight decline would still make him a fine choice at his 86 ADP.--Tim Capurso
