Nelson Cruz Hits Towering Home Run In Wednesday's Loss
3 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk in Wednesday's 13-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Cruz hit an absolute, tape-measure shot in the sixth inning, crushing a Dylan Cease fastball 453 feet at 110.9 MPH. June was by far his best month, as he posted a ridiculous .380/.457/.759 slash line with eight homers, 19 RBI, and 12 runs scored. Cruz ranks eighth in the league in OPS and has a bevy of Statcast metrics to support his overall numbers. He'll get one more game against the White Sox before taking on the Kansas City Royals, who have yielded 31 homers in 103 games to Cruz in his career.
