Nelson Cruz Goes Yard For Second Straight Game
4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers. Cruz mashed a home run for the second consecutive game- and each of his three hits left the bat at an exit velocity of 105 MPH or greater. The 40-year-old slugger is off to a red-hot start, as he has six hits, three home runs, and six RBI in his first two starts of the season. Cruz will get a Wednesday matchup against Tigers' left-hander Matthew Boyd-who has placed in the 20th-percentile or worse in barrel rate over the last two seasons.
