Nelson Cruz Goes Yard For Eighth Time This Season
4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz extended his RBI streak in a losing effort to the Royals on Saturday. Cruz swatted a two-run homer in the eighth inning, the ball leaving his bat at an exit velocity of 107.9 MPH and traveling 439 feet for the farthest-hit ball of the game. The veteran slugger is now tied for second in the majors with eight long balls and ranks in the top 10 in OPS and RBI. Cruz is returning strong fantasy value once again and will get an excellent matchup on Sunday against Royals' right-hander Brad Keller. Keller currently owns a 7.72 expected ERA and a .572 expected slugging percentage.
