4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a walk in Wednesday's 10-2 blowout of the Indians. Cruz walked and scored a run in the first inning, then added onto the Minnesota lead with a two-run single in the top half of the second inning. He now has a four-game hitting streak to his name and four RBI in that same span. The veteran slugger continues to age like the finest of wines, as he currently ranks in the top-20 in batting average, home runs, RBI, and OPS while maintaining excellent Statcast metrics. He'll get the day off Thursday before an upcoming three-game series against the Royals, who have allowed 30 homers to him in 95 career games.--Tim Capurso
