4 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz (foot) was hit on the foot by a pitch in the final inning of the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Athletics. Cruz limped off the field and was replaced by a pinch-runner. The veteran slugger, who went 0-for-5 against two left-handed pitchers, should be considered day-to-day. Cruz will be further evaluated on Wednesday ahead of the series finale with Oakland, per manager Rocco Baldelli.--Tim Capurso
