Nelson Cruz Collects RBI, Stolen Base Saturday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz collected a double, RBI, and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 defeat to the Detroit Tigers. Cruz doubled and scored in the first inning, then later tallied an RBI on an infield single. He was hit by a pitch and stole his third base of the season shortly after. The All-Star slugger raised his slash line to .305/.382/.548 to go along with 18 homers, 47 RBI, 42 runs scored, and three stolen bases. Cruz has had a few minor injuries here and there, but other than that, he's shown zero signs of slowing down at the plate at the age of 41. He'll get another game against Tigers pitching before taking on the Los Angeles Angels, who have allowed 50 homers to him in 188 career games.
