Naz Reid Leads T-Wolves In Scoring Saturday Night
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Naz Reid ended up as a surprising leading scorer for the team in Saturday's 120-110 victory over New Orleans, going 5-for-10 from the field and 8-for-8 at the line en route to 20 points. He shot a nice 2-for-4 from deep, adding four rebounds, two assists, and one block. He was one of five Minnesota players with 16-plus points so this was a real team effort, with both D'Angelo Russell (rest) and Karl-Anthony Towns (COVID-19) out. Reid is the starting center with Towns out of the picture and the likes of Jarred Vanderbilt, who had a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double on Saturday, benefit as well. Minnesota bigs get a dream matchup next against the Warriors, who have been horrible against the power forward and center position this season.
