Nationals Agree With Michael Chavis On Minor-League Deal
2 years agoThe Washington Nationals have reportedly agreed with free-agent infielder Michael Chavis on a minor-league deal, per a tweet from The Washington Post's Andrew Golden on Monday. Chavis would make $1 million if he makes the majors and could earn up to $500,ooo in incentives. He has a June 1 opt-out if he's not in the majors by then. Chavis appeared in 129 games for the Pittsburgh Pirates during the 2022 season, hitting .229 with a .265 on-base percentage. The 27-year-old also added 14 home runs and a stolen base for the National League Central franchise.
