1 year agoThe Washington Nationals released right-hander Erasmo Ramirez on Thursday. The Nationals had designated Ramirez for assignment the day prior, and now he's free to sign with any team he pleases. The 33-year-old veteran made 23 appearances out of the bullpen in D.C. this year, posting an ugly 6.33 ERA (5.25 FIP), 1.56 WHIP, six walks and 13 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched. The soft-tossing hurler (6.8 career K/9) could latch on with another organization, but he's well off the fantasy radar and may not work his way back to the big leagues again in 2023. Ramirez has a 4.28 career ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 795 major-league innings over 12 seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
