6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) will be the starting pitcher for the Rays Wednesday versus the Athletics. His first outing is highly anticipated by many, including manager Kevin Cash. It will be nearly two years since Eovaldi last started in the majors. Eovaldi is coming back from Tommy John surgery and then a surgery at the beginning of this season. Eovaldi can reach 100 mph with his fastball and has reportedly used all this time off to pick up hints on pitching. He is not a shallow league target but he has the potential to work his way into being a deep league option, especially AL-only leagues.--Jamie Mellor
