Nathan Eovaldi Performs Well In Shortened Start
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi rebounded nicely on Monday night, as he tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings while surrendering only two hits in the Red Sox's 8-2 win over the Atlanta Braves. He ended the night with a no-decision. Eovaldi actually started this past Friday, but he was rained out after two innings which explains the quick turnaround. While it was a short start, it was only the second time in six games that Eovaldi managed to allow less than three runs. He now has a 4.10 ERA through eight starts with the Red Sox as well as a 25/8 K/BB ratio. He remains an inconsistent fantasy play that offers more risk than reward and his rotation spot is not necessarily secure with Chris Sale coming back from the disabled list soon.
