Nathan Eovaldi Hit Hard In Tuesday Return
1 year agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi did not have a pleasant return from the injured list in Tuesday's 14-1 loss to the Astros. Eovaldi, who was activated from the 15-day IL after recovering from a right forearm strain, pitched just 1 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on five hits (including two home runs) and a walk with one strikeout. While he hadn't pitched since the end of July and did return to a tough matchup, this was certainly not what fantasy managers were hoping for. The 33-year-old has pitched well this season, going 11-4 with a 2.95 ERA in 20 starts. However, his next start will also be a tough matchup at the Blue Jays. Fantasy managers may be put in a tough start/sit situation depending on where they stand in the fantasy playoffs.
