Nathan Eovaldi Flirts With Perfect Game Sunday Versus The Mets
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi took a perfect game into the seventh inning Sunday versus New York. He would allow only one baserunner in seven innings. There were at least a half-dozen teams represented by scouts at the game, presumably many of them to scout Eovaldi. He is likely to be a trade target given his low salary and the fact that he is due to be a free agent after the season. If he were to be moved Eovaldi's value would likely increase as he would be in line for a higher win potential. He has shown that he is recovered from his injuries, including two starts where he did not allow a hit in the first six innings. Keep an eye out to see what team gets him since it will go a long way towards determining his value.
