Nathan Eovaldi Beaten By Barrage Of Homers Wednesday
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi got a close look at the power of the Astros on Wednesday. He lasted six innings and did a good job of eliminating walks and giving up only seven hits. Eovaldi's demise came courtesy of the home run. Houston would hit four solo HRs, including three in a row in the sixth inning for all of the damage against Eovaldi. He has started to re-establish himself after missing significant time from Tommy John surgery and then a surgery at the beginning of this season. Eovaldi can reach up to 100 mph with his fastball and has reportedly used all this time off to pick up hints on pitching. He is not a shallow league target but he has the potential to work his way into being a deep league option, especially in AL-only leagues.
