Nate Pearson Aggravates Groin Injury
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays top prospect Nate Pearson (groin) aggravated his groin injury on Tuesday while throwing the second bullpen session in his rehab process. He was originally diagnosed with a groin injury after appearing in his first spring game back on March 1. Pearson was expected to be a key contributor to the Jays starting rotation in 2021, but the injury will likely cause him to open the year on the injured list. Ross Stripling is currently the favorite to fill in for Pearson, although the club also has other young starters that could help out, including Anthony Kay, Thomas Hatch and T.J. Zeuch. Pearson is ranked by RotoBaller as the top pitching prospect in dynasty baseball and the second-best pitching prospect for 2021 redraft leagues.
