Nate Lowe Has Two-Homer Night Thursday
3 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Nate Lowe hit two home runs and knocked in three runs against the Oakland A's on Thursday during an 8-3 win. The 25-year-old's first homer of the game was a solo shot off of A's starting pitcher Sean Manaea during the fourth inning. The second homer was a two-run shot off of A's relief pitcher Deolis Guerra during the seventh inning. After having a strong opening month of April to start the season with six homers and 22 RBI, he only produced four homers and 18 RBI combined during May and June. Since June 1, Lowe has raised his average 14 points from .246 to .260 and is riding a four-game hitting streak. Lowe has posted 12 homers, 43 RBI and a .260/.360.424 slash line through his first 80 games. Lowe represents a solid first base option in 12-team leagues and could push his way into shallower leagues should this be the start of a power surge.
