Myles Turner Has Great Effect On Both Ends Of The Court
4 years agoIndiana Pacers center Myles Turner played a vital role in Tuesday's 104-95 victory over Golden State, producing 22 points on 7-for-11 shooting and swatting away five shots. He also pulled down 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the year, and his defensive work included two assists. Turner has been a monster on the defensive end all season long, blocking a league-high 4.1 shots per game. He started the season with an eight-block effort against the Knicks and then repeated the feat on Jan. 6 against Houston. Turner will be terrorizing the Blazers next in what will also be a great matchup for him offensively, as Portland owns the eighth-worst defense in the league, and Enes Kanter, who is a notoriously bad defender, is set to play extended minutes at the center position if Jusuf Nurkic (quadriceps) sits out.
