Muhammad Naimov Shines With Second-Round TKO Win
2 years agoIt was Muhammad Naimov's debut when he pulled off the biggest upset possible at UFC Vegas 74 on Saturday, flattening Jamie Mullarkey in the second round. Naimov was a short-notice replacement for Guram Kutateladze, who was forced to withdraw from the card due to visa issues. In 7:59 of action, Naimov tallied 28 significant strikes compared to Mullarkey, who landed 39. With the victory, Naimov made his successful UFC debut, improved to 9-2, and recorded his fourth win in a row.

Muhammad Naimov Opens Up UFC Saudi Arabia Main Card
2 months agoMuhammad Naimov (11-3) is set to take on Kaan Ofli in the main card opener of UFC Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Naimov is coming off a submission loss to Felipe Lima which was his first loss after starting his UFC tenure out 3-0. He enters the bout as the favorite as DraftKings has him at a salary of $9,000. In the UFC, Naimov is 3-1 with two wins by stoppage and if he can get pas Ofli he'd still likely be a win or two away from a ranked opponent.

Muhammad Naimov Steps Into Octagon For Debut This Saturday
2 years agoMuhammad Naimov (8-2), a rising prospect from Tajikistan, recently signed with the UFC and is set to face Jamie Mullarkey on Saturday. Naimov will be moving up a weight class for his UFC debut, as all of his other fights prior were at featherweight. He is 3-1 since he fell short on Dana White's Contender Series in September of 2020. "Hillman" is on a three-fight winning streak and most recently scored a head-kick knockout. DraftKings still sees Naimov as a big favorite with a salary of $6,500. Naimov has been mentally and physically preparing for a call from the UFC since his Contender Series appearance and is fully aware that he might be offered a short-notice opportunity.
