Moritz Wagner Ruled Out for Saturday
5 years agoWashington Wizards center Moritz Wagner (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Wagner will sit out here due to an ankle sprain, but hopefully it'll only cost him one game. Ian Mahinmi will be the only center on the roster, but he's not a great fantasy option. Rui Hachimura and Davis Bertans will be forced into heavy minutes on Saturday. Both players will be worth a look in DFS contests.

Moritz Wagner Suffers ACL Tear
3 months agoOrlando Magic forward Moritz Wagner (knee) was forced to exit early during Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. Wagner left with a left knee injury that is now being revealed as a season-ending ACL tear. The injuries continue to pile up for the Magic roster. The Magic will now be forced to lean on Wendell Carter Jr. and Goga Bitadze with the team low on depth at the center spot. Both players should have strong fantasy value considering they both should see heavy minutes going forward.

Moritz Wagner Won't Return On Saturday
3 months agoOrlando Magic forward Moritz Wagner (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday's game against the Miami Heat. Wagner was only able to play a few minutes before suffering a left knee injury. The Magic are getting blown out at halftime, so they've decided to take the cautious approach and hold out Wagner. This comes at a bad time with fellow big man Wendell Carter Jr. being ejected from this contest. Goga Bitadze is likely going to play heavy minutes on Saturday and could see more playing time coming his way if Wagner misses time.

Moritz Wagner Settles For Eight Points Tuesday
8 months agoOrlando Magic forward/center Moritz Wagner contributed eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and one block in Germany's 86-73 win against Brazil on Tuesday at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Wagner was able to use his size against Japan in Germany's opener at the tournament to finish with 15 points off the bench, but he took a backseat offensively against a tougher frontcourt on Tuesday. Still, it was an effective performance as Wagner helped his team secure a quarterfinal spot with one game left in Group B. He should have a big role to play as well in the final contest, as the Germans face Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert in a clash with France on Friday.

2 years agoGerman National Team forward/center Moritz Wagner scored a game-high 25 points during the FIBA victory over Japan. The veteran looked good, going 10-for-14 from the field and 2-for-5 from deep while adding nine rebounds, one steal, and one block. While his brother, Franz Wagner (ankle), underwent an MRI after getting injured in this one, the former will look to keep things moving in the right direction on Sunday versus Australia.
