Moritz Wagner Plays His Best Game Of The Season
4 years agoWashington Wizards center Moritz Wagner played his best game of the season in a 135-116 loss to the Clippers on Tuesday. Wagner scored a season-high 21 points with seven rebounds and five assists while draining a three-pointer in 25 minutes. The 23-year-old has only averaged 14.2 minutes per game, though that number should definitely creep up after a performance like this. Wagner is a potential goldmine for fantasy if he keeps starting, as he's averaging 17.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 triples per-36 minutes. He'll face a tough test on Thursday against MVP candidate Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. However, Wagner is worth a pickup in season-long leagues and worth consideration in DFS formats moving forward if he can stay in the starting five.
