Morgan Rielly Delivers Three Assists On Sunday
4 years agoToronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly was one of the helpers on all of the team's goals in Sunday's 3-2 win over Calgary. He combined with Mitchell Marner twice to set up Jake Muzzin and Wayne Simmonds and then tallied an assist on an Auston Matthews goal with Jason Spezza. Rielly was plus-three for the game and added two hits and one block with two penalty minutes. The 26-year-old was sitting on only one point ahead of Sunday's matchup, so he's been slow out of the gate. Rielly had an amazing 20-goal, 72-point year in 2018-19, but a fractured foot left a dent on his 2019-20 campaign. His slow start is a worrying sign for this season, but maybe he can go on a bit of a streak now. The Leafs face Calgary again on Tuesday.
