Mookie Betts Diagnosed With Bone Spur In Hip
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) has been diagnosed with a bone spur in his hip, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register. Betts received a cortisone shot, and while his pain has subsided somewhat, there's still no timetable for his return. The new diagnosis seems to have found the cause of the hip issues that have been plaguing Betts all season long, but manager Dave Roberts said that the cortisone shot is only a short-term solution aimed at getting him back on the field this season. At this point it's unclear when or for how long Betts will be back on the field, and how much of an impact he can still have in fantasy through the rest of the year. Barring any major setbacks, managers are stuck having to ride it out with Betts and hope for the best.
