Mookie Betts Claims Hip Feels Great
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) dealt with a right hip injury for a good chunk of the 2021 season. The injury caused him to miss time, but he also wasn't 100% for many of the games he played. When recently asked about the status of his hip at camp, Betts stated "It feels great. I did some good work to get back healthy, and I'm ready to go." Betts also said that he didn't need to have any testing on his hip the last few months, which suggests he indeed has overcome the injury. Betts was held to 122 games last year, his lowest games total in any non-COVID-shortened season since his rookie year in 2014. He's a strong bounce-back candidate in 2022 and well worthy of a late first round pick. He's just about as good as anyone when he's on his game.
