Mookie Betts Blasts 18th Home Run Of The Year
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder/outfielder Mookie Betts went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and a strikeout in a 3-2 win over the Houston Astros on Friday. Betts put the Dodgers on the board early with a solo home run, his 18th of the season, off J.P. France in the bottom of the first inning. He tacked on a second RBI in the second inning of the ball game with a sacrifice fly to score James Outman. While the batting average is a bit lower than what we've come to expect from Betts, his counting stats and OPS are excellent. He's slashing .261/.358/.511 with 18 home runs, 45 RBI, and five stolen bases over 284 at-bats on the year.
