Moises Gomez Continues Power Display In Triple-A
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Moises Gomez has put together a powerful season for the organization down on the farm and is hitting .296 with 37 homers and 88 RBI between Double-A Springfield and Triple-A. Memphis. Gomez, 24, was signed out of Venezuela by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2015, but struggled during his time in the organization and was picked up by the Cardinals in 2021. Since that time, all he has done is gone yard more than anyone in the minor leagues this season. It's unlikely that the Cardinals will be promoting him to close out the 2022 season, but he should have a chance to compete for a roster spot in 2023. For now, Gomez projects as a fourth outfielder and is only someone for dynasty managers to keep tabs on entering next season.
