Mohamed Sanu Has Successful Surgery
5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu (ankle) had successful ankle surgery on Tuesday. Sanu was traded from the Falcons to the Patriots midway through last season and had 10 catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in his second game in New England. After suffering his injury in Week 11, he limped to the finish line and had just 110 yards in the remaining six games, including the playoffs. The 30-year-old will make $6.5 million in base salary in the final year of his contract in 2020. With better health, Sanu could see better results, but if quarterback Tom Brady leaves in free agency, his already declining fantasy appeal will hit rock bottom.
