3 years agoMito Pereira has become a trendy pick in golf circles this week, but buyer beware on the young Chilean. Pereira is being priced like he is a proven PGA Tour player, yet he has only recorded seven career starts on Tour, and he has missed the cut in four of them. There is no denying Pereira's talent, but there might be a little smoke and mirrors to his sixth-place finish at the 3M Open, where he gained 4.4 strokes short game and putting. In his next start, Pereira badly missed the cut, losing 2.9 strokes ball-striking in the process. Pereira is a hot new toy that fantasy managers have yet to lose money on yet, but I would prefer to take a wait and see approach. --Andy Lack
