Mitch White To Throw Live BP Friday
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays right-hander Mitch White (shoulder) is set to throw live batting practice on Friday. He recently threw a 43-pitch bullpen and may even throw a few innings in spring training if all goes according to plan. White suffered a shoulder impingement over the offseason and is slowly ramping things up to become a full-time starter. The 28-year-old made 10 starts with the Los Angeles Dodgers and twirled a 3.95 FIP with 47 strikeouts. He was then sent to the Blue Jays in a four-player deal, where he spent the remainder of the season. He made eight starts and had a disastrous finish to his 2022 campaign with a 7.74 ERA. The Dodgers are known for their pitching development, and the Blue Jays can only hope that White finds similar success as a starter in the upcoming season.
