Mitch Trubisky Mediocre In Crushing Loss
5 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky completed 23 of 35 passes for 253 yards with one interception and one fumble lost in the Bears crushing 17-16 loss to the Chargers in Week 8. Trubisky made some solid throws for several 30-plus-yard completions but turnovers on back-to-back possessions in the fourth quarter put the Chargers in a position to steal the lead. The third-year quarterback led an admirable final drive to set up a game-winning field goal but Eddy Pineiro missed on a 41-yard attempt with :04 seconds left in the game. The Bears offense made some strides in the ground game but were inept in the red zone. Trubisky will be a wobbly fantasy play despite facing a porous Eagles secondary in Week 9.
