Mitch Keller Strikes Out Five In Scoreless Outing Tuesday
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Mitch Keller improved to 2-3 on the season on Tuesday, throwing 5 2/3 scoreless innings in a 2-1 win over the Padres. It was Keller's best start of the season, as he limited the Padres to two hits and two walks while striking out five batters. He continued his track record of being wildly inconsistent to start the year, as he has yet to record a good start in back-to-back outings. At best right now, Keller is a matchup-dependent streamer in deep leagues, but most managers should ignore Keller until he can prove that he can string together good performances.
