Mitch Haniger To Begin Rehab Assignment Friday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (ankle) is set to begin a rehab assignment at High-A Everett on Friday. The Everett AquaSox Twitter account announced that Haniger would play three games with the team this weekend. After that, assuming all goes well, we'll likely see Haniger continue his rehab assignment at Triple-A. The 31-year-old has been out since late April due to a Grade 2 high ankle sprain. He only managed to play in nine games before landing on the injured list. He'll be a big addition to the Mariners' lineup once he's ready. Last year, Haniger hit a career-high 39 homers while driving in 100 runs.
