Mitch Haniger Suffers Fractured Right Forearm Tuesday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mitch Haniger (forearm) was diagnosed with a fractured right forearm in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Cardinals after being struck by an 88.8 mph sinker from right-hander Jack Flaherty. The injury will likely result in the 32-year-old's second stint on the injured list this season. Health has been an issue throughout Haniger's career and he has slashed just .230/.281/.372 with four home runs and 22 RBI in 160 plate appearances. Fantasy managers who roster Haniger should keep an eye on Luis Matos, who the Giants may call up from Triple-A Sacramento during his absence.
