4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger was a late scratch from Friday's Cactus League matchup against the Cincinnati Reds. Haniger was set to lead off and play right field. Luis Liberato replaced Haniger in the lineup. This is reportedly a result of the wet field in Arizona, not an injury, as the Mariners are being cautious with Haniger as he works his way back into game action after his nearly two-year absence. Haniger is off to a strong start this spring, going 4-for-13 with a home run. He will be a terrific draft value if he can stay healthy this year.--Doug Goldring
