Mitch Haniger Locking Down Leadoff Spot
Mitch Haniger is now firmly establishing himself as the club's leadoff hitter. After batting second in the lineup behind J.P. Crawford in early spring matchups, Haniger seems to have taken over the role from Crawford, batting leadoff in each of his last seven games. Haniger batted first for a 45-game period in 2018 and found significant success, slashing .330/.388/.580 during that stretch. This lineup construction should afford Haniger more opportunities to score runs. Haniger remains an undervalued late-round option in drafts.
