Mitch Haniger Could Be Out Through All-Star Break
5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger (testicle), who has missed the last two weeks with a ruptured testicle, could remain out until after the All-Star break. The 28-year-old has started doing light work in the weight room, but manager Scott Servais said that Haniger hasn't been cleared to do any running or baseball activities. Haniger hit himself with a foul ball on June 6. He broke out in 2018 but has disappointed fantasy owners this year with his .220 average in 246 at-bats. However, he also had 15 homers, 46 runs, 32 RBI and four steals before the injury, so he deserves to remain stashed in most leagues. Mac Williamson should continue to see regular playing time in the meantime, although you can ignore him outside of AL-only leagues.
