Mitch Haniger Avoids Arbitration With $7.75 Million Deal
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger has agreed to a one-year, $7.75 million deal that will allow him and the club to avoid arbitration. The 31-year-old will have a lot to play for this year as he'll be an unrestricted free agent after the 2022 season. Last year, over 157 games, he slashed .253/.318/.486 with 39 home runs, 100 RBI and 110 runs. RotoBaller has him ranked just inside the top-100. He's a great No. 3 outfielder to target or even a potential No. 2 outfielder if you get off to a slow start at the position. The Mariners amped up their offense this offseason, adding Jesse Winker and Eugenio Suarez from the Reds, so Haniger should be in position for some strong counting stats once again.
