Mitch Haniger Absent From The Lineup For Game 1 Of Doubleheader
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Mitch Haniger is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies. The veteran outfielder will likely be out there for Game 2 in the afternoon but he'll be taking a seat in the opener. Haniger has struggled mightily at the dish since being activated from the 60-day IL in late August. He's slashing .146/.239/.390 with a pair of home runs in 13 games since his activation so maybe getting the game off will do him some good. Mike Yastrzemski is starting in left field while Michael Conforto is handling right and Joc Pederson serves as the Giants' DH against Rockies starter Brent Suter.
