Mitch Garver To Ramp Up Baseball Activities
3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver (groin) will begin to ramp up his baseball activities, per Dan Hayes of The Athletic. Garver was able to take the field Monday and play catch after being sidelined since June 1 with a groin strain. The veteran backstop will likely incorporate some jogging, more throwing, and moving around a bit, with the next step likely to be him swinging a bat. Garver seems like he's still at least a week or two away from returning at this point, which will mean more starts for Ryan Jeffers, who has excelled as the team's starting catcher in June.
