Mitch Garver Homers In Rangers Debut
3 years agoTexas Rangers catcher Mitch Garver had a strong debut for the team on Opening Day on Friday. The 31-year-old veteran went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored. He hit cleanup in the game, batting right behind two other recent additions to the team, Marcus Semien and Corey Seager. If Garver can stick in that No. 4 spot throughout the bulk of the season, he could be in store for a big year. The veteran hit 31 home runs over just 93 games back in 2019, but has struggled with injuries and inconsistent playing time since.
