Mitch Garver Contemplating Season-Ending Forearm Surgery
2 years agoTexas Rangers catcher/designated hitter Mitch Garver (forearm) spoke to reporters on Sunday and stated that he is considering surgery on his right forearm that would end his 2022 season. Garver has a flexor tendon injury in his right forearm. The injury has prevented him from playing catcher this year and Garver also believes it has hampered his ability to hit. While speaking to reporters, he stated, "The only way that I'm gonna be the player that I want to be is with the surgery." If he opts for the surgery now, he should be able to return to the field for spring training next year.
