Mitch Garver Belts 13th Homer
3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver swatted his 13th homer of the season in Friday's 5-4 win over Houston. Garver put the Twins on the board with a solo shot, a 393-footer that left his bat at 106.1 MPH. The veteran backstop is hitting just .227 on the season, but continues to provide fantasy managers with plenty of power, as evidenced by his .545 slugging percentage. Garver has gotten back to mashing fastballs in 2021, posting an insane .707 slugging percentage against the pitch, after just a .368 mark last year. That should continue to make him one of the better power-hitting options at his position.
