Miles Wood Gets Two Goals Friday Night
4 years agoNew Jersey Devils left wing Miles Wood celebrated two goals in Friday's 6-4 loss to Pittsburgh, getting the scoring started for his team and finishing it off as well. Jack Hughes and Jesper Boqvist also scored for New Jersey. Wood is the team's leading goal-scorer this season with 13 markers in 39 games. He's been very effective in front of the goal, doing his damage with 96 shots to produce a 13.5 shooting percentage. Wood, who boasts 18 points for the year, hasn't managed to impress much, but he's on a line with New Jersey's two best scorers Pavel Zacha and Jesper Bratt, which puts the 25-year-old in a good spot to perform. Bratt, who posted one assist on Friday, has gone pointless just twice in his last 14 games.
