Miles Sanders Given Just 12 Carries In Week 17
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders carried the ball 12 times and gained 61 yards during the team's 20-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles' offense was kept off the field for all of two minutes in the first quarter, and the 25-year-old rarely touched the ball in the first half. It is an issue we have seen more than once this season for Sanders, and it led to an outright disappointing fantasy performance for those counting on them during their title game. Starting quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) has a real shot at returning next week against the New York Giants in a must-win game for Philadelphia. The fourth-year back torched the Giants back in Week 14, gaining 155 total yards and scoring two touchdowns. For those playing for their fantasy championship in Week 18, Sanders will be a mid-range RB2 regardless of who is under center.
