Miles Sanders A Concerning Choice In Week 5 Lineups
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders, drafted to be an RB1 by most fantasy managers this season, is a concerning option in any Week 5 starting lineup. Despite being one of the more talented backs in the league, Sanders had just 15 total touches in Weeks 3 and 4 combined. The Eagles play callers seem to have completely abandoned the running game unless it's quarterback Jalen Hurts running the ball himself. Combine the lack of opportunities for running backs with the fact that rookie Kenneth Gainwell has legitimately emerged as a threat to Sanders, and Sanders is barely an RB3 option for Week 5. He may have a week where the Philly offense finally runs through his legs, but he's finished outside of the top-36 fantasy running backs for three weeks in a row now.
