Miles Mikolas To Throw A Bullpen On Wednesday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas (shoulder) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday. Mikolas is dealing with a shoulder strain to go with a flexor tendon strain in his throwing elbow. He reportedly came into camp healthy but was quickly shut down from throwing. He was supposed to throw a bullpen on Sunday, but that was rescheduled to Wednesday to give him a few more days to rest. Mikolas has received various treatments and tried rest in order to avoid what usually leads to Tommy John Surgery. His Opening Day status is certainly in doubt, and there's reason to believe his entire 2021 season could be in danger. He's been playing catch and doing long toss, but at this point he has not been on a mound in almost two weeks. Fantasy managers who have not drafted yet might be best keeping him off their draft boards entirely unless we hear some good news about him soon.
