Boston Bruins left wing Milan Lucic (ankle) will be out of commission for a couple of weeks, according to head coach Jim Montgomery. The veteran forward will miss a third consecutive game on Thursday versus Anaheim, and it looks like he will then be unavailable for at least six more games. Lucic has totaled two assists in four games with one shot on goal and eight hits. The team will definitely miss his physical presence, although Boston has kept winning without Lucic and will head out for a seventh straight victory on Thursday. The team's frontline has also lost Jakub Lauko (face), who is expected to miss at least one week.

Boston Bruins left wing Milan Lucic (ankle) is expected to miss a second consecutive game Tuesday against the Blackhawks. The veteran sustained an ankle injury Saturday against Los Angeles and didn't play Sunday versus Anaheim after leaving the pregame warmups. Lucic also left Tuesday's morning skate early. With four games played, the 35-year-old has contributed two assists with one shot on goal and eight hits. He'll get his next chance to return on Thursday when Boston is scheduled to have a rematch with the Ducks.

Calgary Flames left-winger Milan Lucic opened the scoring in Calgary on Monday night versus the Pittsburgh Penguins. Oliver Kylington and Chris Tanev set up the Lucic tally midway into the second period. That gave Lucic six goals in 22 games. With the winger playing just 12 minutes a night, the forward's scoring chances are limited. He does have two goals in his last three games though. Lucic played 10:53 on Monday night with just the one shot on goal. The forward has a bit of value in leagues that count hits still at least.
