3 years agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen stopped 39 pucks in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Philadelphia to pick up his first shutout since November 2019. The Finnish netminder was busy right from the off when the Flyers sent 13 shots his way in the opening frame, but he stood tall and the Oilers eventually skated away with a victory after scoring in each period. Leon Draisaitl opened the scoring with a power-play marker, Kailer Yamamoto returned to the lineup with his 11th goal of the season and Connor McDavid wrapped things up with an empty-netter. Koskinen improved to 19-8-2 for the year, and he now boasts a 3.02 goals-against average with a .905 save percentage. Edmonton's goalie situation has been a mess all season, but Koskinen has given them some stability by winning all of his last four starts.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
