Mikko Koskinen Likely To Start Again On Sunday
4 years agoEdmonton Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen has started all of the team's six games so far and he's likely to go again on Sunday against Winnipeg, with Mike Smith (undisclosed) stuck on long-term injured reserve and the team lacking goalie depth. Koskinen has registered a decent .905 save percentage so far, but he carries a losing record with 2-4-0 and a poor 3.21 goals-against average. He has looked sharp on most nights, but the wins are tough to come by if the team can't score. The Oilers have managed two or fewer goals in three of their last four outings. Meanwhile, the Jets are among the top scorers with a 3.80 goals-for average, so this could be another long night for Koskinen.
