Mike Williams Continues To Miss Practice
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (hip) has been unable to practice for the second straight week due to a hip injury. He sustained a hip flexor during practice two weeks ago. The 26-year-old has missed the Chargers' first two preseason games and is unlikely to play in the exhibition finale against the Seattle Seahawks. The Chargers reportedly are not expected to extend Williams, who is playing 2021 under his fifth-year option. He hauled in 48 receptions on 85 targets for 745 yards and five touchdowns across 15 games in 2020. Williams remains day-to-day but still has time to recover before the regular-season opener against the Washington Football Team on September 12. The former Clemson Tiger is currently being drafted as WR40 in FFPC leagues.
